A "Boyliya" type miquelet lock tufenk

dating: 19th Century provenance: Bulgaria, Round, smoothbore (shortened) barrel, breech provided with silver-plated, well-detailed rear sight. 14 mm cal at the nozzle. Tang with remains of silver foil (almost completely missing). Miquelet flintlock with typical, rounded, back hammer, and with remains of silver foil, engraved with floral motifs. Spheroid, iron trigger. Mechanism needs revision. Wooden stock (shortened) with thin butt of pentagonal section. The central segment richly decorated with partially engraved, mother-of-pearl diamond inlays (mostly still present). The handle featuring rhombus-shaped, pierced, mother-of-pearl inlays which then take on more intricate forms. The rest of the stock is mostly decorated with the typical brass agemine decoration featuring enameled discs (largely preserved). With two jointed loops on the left side. Missing ramrod.
