dating: late 18th Century provenance: Indopersia, Long, curved, damask (barely visible), single-edged blade with reinforced tip and wide T-shaped rear side featuring gilded carvings. Gold-inlaid base with floral motifs and a cartouche on each side featuring an Arabic inscription. Iron hilt with gold decorated frame, beautiful walrus tusk grips (a small restoration). The pommel with ring featuring a tassel . Wooden scabbard covered with burgundy velvet (completely worn) and featuring metal mounts embossed with floral motifs on a granulated background. Rare.
