A kilic

dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Impero Ottomano, Slightly curved, single-edged and counter-edged blade of medium width, with triple groove under the rear side. With some toothed engravings at the base on the left side. Iron mounts with cross-shaped gilded hilt (refreshed) engraved with a tiger among floral motifs, the angled pommel engraved with floral motifs. Leather-covered handle with brass rivets and decorated with silver dots. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (modern restoration) with iron mounts decorated en suite. Two suspension rings.
