A silver-mounted yatagan

dating: 19th Century provenance: Turchia, Slightly curved, single-edged blade, with Arabic mark and date "1216" in Arabic on the third side. Beautiful hilt entirely made of silver and richly decorated in filigree featuring red cabochon stones. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (missing parts) and sewn in metal wire, simple metal cap, yellow metal chape with tip shaped as a monster's head.
