Description
A small trunk with emblems of the French Royal Court
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Francia, Made of wood, the exterior surface is entirely covered in richly decorated red leather with gold floral impressions; the corners of the lid with two eagles and two fleurs-de-lis under a crown, the base bears monogram "A" and "L" divided by a rooster. Bronze mounts engraved with floral motifs. Closure with lock (with key included) and two hooks. The sides feature movable handles. Lined with white silk inside.
