A Noble Guard helmet
dating: about 1920 provenance: Stato Pontificio, Silver-plated skull with gilded crest and mounts, the front shaped as a lion's head with black mane, olive with embossed inscription "Benedetto XV" ( 1914-1922 ). Frontal badge with silvered rays and gilded papal tiara. Chin-strap with scale, plume-holder with rare red-white feather (for trumpet players). Turban made of black seal fur. The visors made of red Moroccan leather inside, featuring brown leather sweat-band and red silk caps (damaged).
