A cavalry helmet of the Cuirassiers of Amadeus, Duke of Savoy and King of Spain

dating: 1871 - 1873 provenance: Italia e Spagna, German-silver skull, crest stamped with a large star and racemes, visor part shaped as a dragon's head with black mane (identical to the Italian helmet models of that period), plate with the royal monogram 'A I°', brass radial pattern with silver badge bearing the Arms of Spain and the Savoyard cross in the small front oval, plume holder, nape-guard with fronds, scaled chin-strap with starred cheek-pieces, leather inside.
