An interesting cavalry officer's helmet

dating: Second quarter of the 20th Century provenance: Regno d'Italia, Iron skull (nickeling with two small missing parts) with beautiful fur band (phoca vitulina), with Savoy cross decoration. Crest with finely chased gilt brass comb, embossed lion's head and, at the base, decoration with crowned monogram "VE". Armoured chin-strap with brass plates. Tricolour cloth cockade. On the left side, grenade with Savoy cross with plume-holder featuring a beautiful heron feather aigrette. With leather sweat-band inside (damaged by use and time) and orange silk cap. Kept in its wooden box with gilded coat of arms on the outside, and a Savoy shield under a white metal crown inside.
