An 1861 Model U.S. Percussion Rifle-Musket with bayonet

dating: 1864 provenance: USA, Round, rifled, 14 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal breech, marks "N.J", "V", "P" and date not fully legible, foldaway, two-regulation rear sight , foresight. Forward spring lock with flat lock plate marked "U.S. / TRENTON" in the centre and with eagle, tang with date "1864". Working mechanism. Wooden full stock (butt with a small restoration) with iron mounts and ramrod. Complete with its bayonet (length: 51.2 [cm]) with a blade of triangular section and with marks at the base provided with leather scabbard and iron, button-shaped chape.
