A rare Mass. Arms Co. Wesson & Leavitt Belt Revolver
dating: circa 1850 provenance: USA, Approximately 5", 31 cal barrel provided with foresight. Dorsal mark with the Massachusetts Arms Company address and fore-end. Smooth, six-shot cylinder without marks, engraved with floral motifs and remains of bluing. Working mechanism. Lock with Wesson 6 Levavitt patent marks. Silver-plated brass trigger guard and grip bands. Typical dorsal swiveling system of the barrel with a hook attaching to the cylinder's pin.
