dating: 1861 - 1862 provenance: USA, Rifled, round, 7-1/2",,44 cal. barrel, (some pitting inside, visible rifling), with octagonal base marked "A... ELOCK WORCHESTER MASS U / ...LEN'S PT'S JAn. 16 DEC. 15 1857 SEPT. 7." on the side (the inscription is partly unreadable), low, brass front sight. Smooth, six-shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Trigger guard with cartridge rammer lever, remains of browning. Some pitting. Wooden grip scales, inside the grip the serial number "2xx". Rare.
