A Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver, London Model dating: 1855 provenance: Londra, Octagonal, rifled, 7-1/2", 36 cal barrel (signs of use and some pitting inside, visible rifling), with small brass front sight, dorsal mark "ADDRESS: COL. COLT LONDON", with marks of the London test bench on the left side. Lever of cartridge rammer and barrel with numbering matching the frame. Six-shot cylinder with remains of naval battle scene between the Texan and Mexican fleets, marks of the London test bench near the nipples, marching serial number clearly legible. Frame marked with "COLTS PATENT" on the left side; serial no. "33xxx". Wide rounded trigger guard, iron handle bands, with matching serial numbers. Medium-good condition. Walnut handle with a small missing part.
