Pair of screens 6-pcs. a) One figure on each panel (from right to left) including: Taikobo, Dogenmin, the 5th Zen patriarch, Toba and Soshi, b) on each panel a bird and a plant, (from right to left): swallow and peony, robin and marshmallow, bird on plum blossom branch, long-tailed bird on pine trunk, crane in reeds and heron on a willow trunk. Ink and a few light colors on paper. All panels with the seals Eino and Ichiyosai in, the two outermost panels each signed: Ichiyosai Eino hitsu. (2) Each painting 126 x 49.6 cm; total dimensions per screen 168.5 x 382 cm Provenance Private collection, Southern Germany, acquired on 22.12.1976 from Kyoto Screen, Co, Ltd, Kyoto (invoice available)
