Bhaisajyaguru, the Medicine Buddha. Bronze with lacquer finish and gilding. In the style of the late Ming period Sitting in meditation on a double lotus throne, the right hand hanging down in varadamudra and holding a myrobalan fruit between the fingers, the left hand held in dhyanamudra over the lap. On the head with large curls, which also cover the ushnisha, unusually long pendants on the ears and arm ornaments on the right arm. Crown damaged.
