Bodhisattva Guanyin. Bronze. Late Ming period, 17th century. Sitting in meditation on a double lotus pedestal, lotus stems growing from the palms in vitarkamudra, supporting a vase and a parrot at shoulder height. A crown on the head, a meditating tiny Buddha sits on the chignon. Red-brown, gilt lacquer frame with overpainting. Weight 6.24 kg.
