Mandala of Amoghapasha Lokeshvara. Tibet. 17th/18th century. The eight-armed Amoghapasha in the center of the mandala palace, surrounded by eight Buddhas and Bodhisattvas on lotus petals, outside the flame protection circle Buddha Shakyamuni in the celestial realm, accompanied by Avalokiteshvara and Prajnaparamita, the lower half of the picture with narrative scenes from the life of the historical Buddha and a tutelary deity with retinue in a green landscape. Fine brocade mount. Framed under glass. 63.5 x 45.5 cm Provenance Private collection, Northern Germany, acquired in India in the 1970s
