Silver figure of Tsongkhapa. Tibet. 19th century. Sitting in padmasana on a finely modeled double lotus pedestal, holding his hands in front of his chest in dharmachakramudra. On his head the typical pointed Gelug cap. Rising up along his arms, two lotus blossoms open at his shoulder, bearing khadga (flaming sword) and pustaka (book). Base plate with stylized double vajra. Weight 71 g. H 6.2 cm
