La Maréchale KOENIG. Marie-Jeanne Klein was married in 1931 to Marie-Pierre Kœnig (1898-1970), General-in-Chief of the F.F.I. in 1944, then promoted to General-in-Chief and appointed Military Governor of Paris shortly before the city's liberation. He was responsible for the arrest of Marshal Pétain in Vallorbe in 1945. He was posthumously raised to the dignity of Maréchal de France on June 6, 1984 - Typed letter of thanks with autograph signature made in Paris, dated May 16, 1955. Signed "M. J. Koenig".
