Schmied, 1930. - In-4, 355 x 285: (38 ff. 3 first and 2 last blank), mute cover. Leaves, filled cover, publisher's folder and slipcase. Very fine edition illustrated with 28 mid-page compositions by François-Louis SCHMIED (1873-1941), wood-engraved in color and printed, like the text, under the direction of his son Théo Schmied. Edition of 172 copies signed by François-Louis Schmied at the justification. This is one of 155 on Madagascar. A very well preserved copy, despite some rare spotting and traces of wetness on the slipcase covers.

Raoul DUFY. Le Havre 1877 - Forcalquier 1953. French painter. Autograph letter signed, on the letterhead of the Bibliothèque-musée de la guerre of the Ministère de l'Instruction publique et des beaux-arts, of which he had just been appointed curator. It is addressed from 6 avenue de Malakoff, Paris, where he was living at the end of the war, his wife having remained in Le Havre. remained in Le Havre. The letter is dated February 11, 1918 and addressed to his painter and sculptor friend, Luc-Albert Moreau, in which he congratulates himself on the acquisition of a drawing by his friend, depicting the Douaumont fort. Douaumont, and hopes, with his other friend Claude Roger-Marx, to meet him again soon to discuss exchange views on the painting that fascinates them. The letter is accompanied by a later autograph bill of thanks, on September 1, 1938, to his friend Luc-Albert Moreau and his wife, the violinist Hélène Jourdan- Morhange. Morhange, residing at their house in Les Vignes, Saint-Tropez, as indicated by the envelope envelope enclosed. The letter forms 4 pages in-8 and the bill, written on blue paper, one page.
