Spanish-made flintlock pistol. Smooth octagonal then round barrel, in high-caliber (14 bullets per pound). Flat lock body, flat iron bassoinet, flat gooseneck hammer with jaw screw ring. Two letters under the crown are barely visible on the back of the lock. Weapon mounted in iron and brass, trigger guard with iron finger rest, brass trigger escutcheon, line-engraved brass leaf embouchoir, ball butt cap with openwork, line-engraved brass leaf wrap, decoration repeated around the breech tail. Functional mechanism. Overall length 315 mm, ramrod missing. (Condition 2)
