Five silver repoussé and chased objects, China, Vietnam and Japan, circa 1900 - A Japanese silver repoussé cigarette holder decorated with a dragon in the clouds in pursuit of the flaming pearl. - A small baluster-shaped vase decorated with butterflies, bamboo and peonies, with a wan cang hallmark - 萬藏. - A silver and vermeil covered cylindrical vessel, with openwork bottom forming a colander, worked in repoussé on its rim with four cartouches decorated with the four celestial animals, 四獸, guardians of the four orients and symbolizing the four elements. The lid is decorated with flowers, a frieze of ruyi heads and a small gripping ring. - A covered colander cup with a small handle, embossed with carp-dragons in the water and a scaled dragon, the lid decorated with leaves around the handle. It fits onto a bottomless cylindrical support with a circular foot, decorated in repoussé with peonies and a butterfly. It probably held a glass container.
