Important direct-cut Christo Morto, carved from the ivory of a proboscidean elephantidae SPP. (Elephas maximus, Loxodonta africana or Loxodonta cyclotis), drooping head turned to the right, nailed to a gilded wooden cross, surmounted by the Titulus Crucis also in ivory, engraved and inked. Beautiful Louis XIV-style gilded wood and stucco arched frame with parecloses and red velvet background. Missing little finger of the right hand, accidents to the mirrors of the parecloses, longitudinal cracks.
