[Manuscripts] ['s-Hertogenbosch] Warrant of the tombstone of the Raessen/ Van Velde family at 's-Hertogenbosch Consisting of a careful manuscript description of the tombstone in the St. Janskerk on the first page of a vellum bifolium, 33 x 21 cm, w. attached tax stamp and paper covered wax seal, 6 December 1696, signed in pen by the secretary (probably Johan Louis van Cattenburgh). The vellum bifolium holds a paper bifolium w. a very fine full-p. drawing of the tombstone in ink and blue watercolour on the first page. Short introductory text followed by a careful description of all the other names and dates (the oldest being 1625) and the coats of arms in relief on the tombstone. See C.F.X. Smits, De grafzerken in de kathedrale Sint Janskerk van 's-Hertogenbosch, 1912, p. 339-330. Interesting document, proving that the lower half of the stone was turned around at a certain moment, w. the original text erased and newly engraved.
