[Manuscripts] Album of signatures made for Ger Langeweg 1951. Spiral-bound, made for Langeweg's 60th anniversary, contains num. signatures of friends and admirers incl. a.o.: J.J. Voskuil, Jan Sluijters, Peter Alma, Willem Sandberg, Oey Tjeng Sit, Chris Beckman, Jan Sierhuis, Eugène Brands, W.F. Hermans, Karel Mengelberg and Jan Wiegers. W. 3 ills. signed w. monogram "zi" and w. 5 additional sketches, mostly portraits of Langeweg. Langeweg (1891-1970) was a Dutch artist who displayed a unique perception of reality and initially drew inspiration from magical realism. He received his education in Amsterdam, but later moved to Flanders. Langeweg attended the academies of Ghent and Bruges and lived in Paris for some time. His subjects are often figures, still lifes, nudes, landscapes and fantasy figures.
