[Original artworks] Harmsen van der Beek, E.M. ter (1897-1953). Schetsboek voor een Diepzee Carnaval Laren 1948 11 col. crayon drawings by ter Harmsen van der Beek for the famous Hamdorff Hotel in Laren, 1948. Theme 'Deep sea Carnaval', incl. a large fold-out, 48 x 61 cm, and 10 drawings of 49 x 35 cm each, one of which is titled 'Zee Bordeel'. From the archives of Fritzi ter Harmsen van der Beek. Hamdorff in Laren opened its doors in 1913, and it gained national renown for its parties and jazz concerts by the Ramblers. Posters for events were designed by Willy Sluiter and later by ter Harmsen van der Beek, who used the hotel for his weekly chess hour. These drawings have not been published before and have been hidden in the archives of Fritzi ter Harmsen van der Beek for over half a century. (total 11)
