[Asian Arts] Utagawa Yoshikazu (active ca. 1850-1870). Foreigner making clothes Col. woodcut from an untitled series of foreigners at home, 34 x 23 cm (oban tate-e), signed Issen Yoshikazu Ga, w. publisher's seal and combined sensor and date seal (1860) in the block. W. num. thin spots and pinholes, remnants of former mount verso, a bit dust-soiled. Still, a very attractive and rare print. W. accompanying signed and stamped certificate of antiquity (using the name Ichikawa Yoshikazu for the artist, dating 1840 AD), issued by Y. Tsuruki & Co. in Kyoto in 1967; the print was purchased by Japan Gasoline Co. for Dr. Richard H. Nagel, w. orig. envelope. (total 3)
