"Yo la reyna" Valencia December 12, 1426, to her advisor and treasurer Jean de Masguillem; oblong half-page in-4, countersigned on verso with trace of red wax seal (small loss at one corner without loss of text, small hole, and slight wetness); in Latin. Rare document. Marie, Queen of Aragon, Sicily, Valencia, Majorca, Sardinia and Corsica, Countess of Barcelona, Duchess of Athens and Neopatria, and also Countess of Roussillon and Cerdagne, asks her treasurer to pay the King's loyal secretary, Laurent de Casanova [Cazeneuve?], 157 gold florins of Aragon, which he had used to pay the seal duty on apostolic bulls concerning certain special graces obtained from the Sovereign Pontiff...
