Knowing that his niece (in fact great-niece) is "particularly acquainted with one of the Representatives of the People currently in Bordx" [Tallien], he asks her to intervene on behalf of a brother of citizen Deseze: "If the Representatives who are in Bordeaux have shown themselves to be severe, they have also shown themselves to be equitable, & and I ask nothing more of you than to interest the justice of the one you know [...] to bring to an end the affair of the detainee I recommend to you. These representatives are so busy at the moment, that it is not strange that things are going as fast as we would like"...

On vellum, richly painted, top left with his arms, and right with the royal arms, those of the Duke of Norfolk and the College of Arms. With its two red wax seals in lacquered cases held by green silk ribbons, bearing the arms of Isaac Heard "Garter Principal King of Arms" and Thomas Lock "Clarenceux King of Arms". Made January 22, 1803. B.E. Presented in its brown leather-covered wooden case decorated with floral motifs and the royal cipher (missing and damaged).this document gives him the right to bear arms as well as to add "O'Keefe" after his name; - Genealogy of Gabriel Denis Deville O'Keefe, officer in the Roll Regiment. Large family tree on vellum, annotated in pen and ink, watercolored and highlighted in gold, showing the relationship between the Devilles and the O'Keefe. Made in July 1797. Conforms to the records of the London Heraldic College and signed George Harrison, Ralph Bigland and Joseph Hawker. 65 x 52 cm. In white metal case ;- "The Genealogy of the antient and Princely family of O'Keefe in the county of Cork and Kingdom of Ireland". Ten-page notebook with watercolor cover painted with the family's large coat of arms. This notebook presents the ancestry of Nicolas and Gabriel Denis Deville and their Irish origins. Circa 1800; - Set of thirteen handwritten documents in a red morocco folder presenting the Deville family's Irish ancestry.
