Dominique-Denis CABARRUS le jeune (1722-1798) Bordeaux banker and slave owner. L.A.S., Yvrac November 3, 1793, to citizen Theresita Cabarrus [future Mme Tallien] in Bordeaux; 2pages in-8, addressed. Knowing that his niece (in fact great-niece) is "particularly acquainted with one of the Representatives of the People currently in Bordx" [Tallien], he asks her to intervene on behalf of a brother of citizen Deseze: "If the Representatives who are in Bordeaux have shown themselves to be severe, they have also shown themselves to be equitable, & and I ask nothing more of you than to interest the justice of the one you know [...] to bring to an end the affair of the detainee I recommend to you. These representatives are so busy at the moment, that it is not strange that things are going as fast as we would like"...

Conforms to the records of the London Heraldic College and signed George Harrison, Ralph Bigland and Joseph Hawker. 65 x 52 cm. In white metal case ;- "The Genealogy of the antient and Princely family of O'Keefe in the county of Cork and Kingdom of Ireland". Ten-page notebook with watercolor cover painted with the family's large coat of arms. This notebook presents the ancestry of Nicolas and Gabriel Denis Deville and their Irish origins.
