Manuscrit, Description géographique du Royaume de France dans son Etat actuel, [entre 1786 et 1789]; vol. in-4, 198 pages (plus qqs ff. blancs), folding watercolor map, contemporary binding in tan calf with triple fillet, ornate spine, gilt edges (worn binding, worn hinges). Handsome ruled and calligraphed manuscript, headed by an engraved and colored map of La France, divisée en ses quarante gouvernemens généraux et militaires..., by M. Brion, ingénieur géographe du Roi (1765). The treatise specifies the military governments, "Provinces Eclésiastiques, ou Archevechés", generalities, parliaments, sovereign councils, duchies-pairies (including that of Stainville, "érigé pour Mr de Choiseuil" [in 1786]), chambers of accounts, mints, cours des aides, academies and literary societies, etc.2 manuscripts and a printed document concerning the town of Auxerre, 18th century.
