"My dear brother, You have long been angry with me for not going to see you. - At last I hope to assuage your resentment. - I shall probably arrive at your house shortly after this letter. - If, however, you are about to leave, or if the place you have reserved for me has already been taken by some traveler, please write to me as soon as possible, so that I don't have to worry about being in your way.
