Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904) Symbolist "Genesis" vase - 1898 Multi-layered crystal marquetry with polychrome inlay effects, decorated with a flight of butterflies chiseled with a turret on an intaglio engraved background animated with scrolls. Signed "Gallé" with a double line in the decoration.
