KUSU/KASONGO, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Hardwood, patina of use. Powerful "Kakudji" bust statue, with long bearded face and magically charged head cavity. This sculpture, with its geometric treatment of volumes, is similar to the one by André Kirbach published in the catalog (André Kirbachausgesuchte Stammeskunst) Dusseldorf 2003. Height: 30 cm.
