Paris, [ca 1912]. 1 to 2 pp. on bifeuillets in-12 on the letterhead of "Le Figaro" newspaper. To Sardou: "your writing, like your wit, is recognizable everywhere". Concerns a.o. articles on Holland, the success of his "dear friend's" brother at the theater, the officer's cross his interlocutor received, etc. Gaston Calmette (1858-1914), journalist and editor of the "Figaro", was murdered by the wife of the minister Joseph Caillaux, the target of a press campaign.
