Seljuk mortar, Havan Bronze Iran, 12th - 13th century, Seljuk period Height 10.7 cm; Diameter 15.5 cm This bronze havan from the Seljuk period features embossed bosses forming drops on the body. A MONOCHROME TURQUOISE-GLAZED KASHAN POTTERY EWER Kashan, Iran, 12th century Of globular shape, resting on a short circular foot, rising to broad, faceted shoulders worked in a honeycomb pattern reminiscent of 10th-century Nishapur and Ancient Roman glass bottles, and a narrow, cylindrical neck with a flattened disk below the circular rim, attached to a curved handle, the full exterior (except for the foot) and the interior of the neck covered in a traditional Seljuk Kashan monochrome turquoise glaze, the base with an old inventory label reading 'no. 52' (?), 23cm high.
