Queen-size molded and carved beech armchair, cream lacquered and decorated with a blue dot pattern. Short cambered legs with foliage hooves and flower falls. The curved front crosspiece is centered with flowers, as is the top of the backrest. Recessed, ribbed armrests. Stamped BAUVE. Louis XV period (restorations, reinforcement of the belts, one foot enté). Height : 97 cm - Width : 70 cm - Depth : 70 cm Mathieu BAUVE or DEBAUVE, words around 1768, obtained his master's degree on August 1, 1754. BAUVE was renowned for the quality of his seat carvings, as our bergère testifies. Note also the particular comfort of this seat, with its very wide, low seat, which is also found in bergères known as Coin de feu.
