Second edition, published six years after the original. Translation from Greek into French verse long attributed to Lazare de Baïf. In reality, it was written by another adviser to François I, Guillaume Bochetel, to whom it was returned in the early 20th century. Hecuba proper occupies pages 7 to 76, and is followed by several pieces of poetry: The Fable of Caunus and Biblis, inspired by Ovid, The Silve, after Silvanius, as well as various ballads, epitaphs and epigrams.
