[Michel d'AMBOISE]. JUVENAL. La dixiesme satyre de Juvenal. Traduycte nouvellement de Latin, en Rithme Frãcoyse par... Small booklet in-8, red morocco with Du Seuil-style decoration, double framing of cold-rolled fillets with fleuron at the corners and gilded irons in the center, ornate 5-nerve spine, interior lace, gilded edges ( Capé). Brunet (III-633) // Cioranescu, 2439. (24 f.) / A-C8, last blank / 88 x 132 mm. Rare edition of the translation of Juvenal's tenth satyr. This is the only edition mentioned by Cioranescu. Brunet does not cite it, and only mentions the translation of four satyres, VIII, X, XI and XIII, published by Jehan Longis in 1544. Our edition is certainly the original edition of Michel d'Amboise's translation. Title in round type and text in italics. A fine copy in a fine binding by Capé.
