A gilded bronze clock, the dial shows the hours in Arabic numerals and is set in a post on which a lyre sits, with the god Pan, dressed in antique style, holding a flute and a dog lying at his feet. The quadrangular base is adorned on the front with a festooned garland of fruit, attributes of war and music, and is underlined by a frieze of palmettes. It stands on four feet decorated with stylized acanthus leaves.
