Group of three silver niello cases. One sterling case with niello pin striped exterior and push tab closure. The interior with a light silt wash and engraved with initials EL in script. Marked faintly with crescent, indistinct mark, 925 and WTB (for Wilhelm Binder - Schwabisch Gmund - founded in 1869) along an interior edge. One case with niello scene on the front depicting a rocket launch in the night sky over a sky scape. With push tab closure and other tab. The interior gilt wash with two elastic straps. Marked C45 and X along the interior. One niello box with foliate details throughout exterior, the box of rounded rectangular form. Marked along the top lid. Marks faded, potentially indicate St. Petersberg, 1882-1899. Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
