Japan, Edo period, 18th century Inrô with six compartments, of narrow elongated form, in ro-iro lacquer, decorated in takamaki-e and hiramaki-e gold and silver, with Shoki, the hunter of Oni, his sword in hand, on one side, the other side decorated with a bamboo; the interior in nashiji and fundame lacquer. (Small chips and lacquer gaps along the edges and on the himotoshi). Size: 10.5 x 3.5 cm
