In-12, red morocco, richly decorated smooth spine, triple gilt fillet framing the covers with gilt fleurons in the corners, gilt fillet on the edges, gilt edges (period binding). Fully engraved work comprising a title-frontispiece, a dedication leaf, a preface leaf, a colored geographical plan, a general plan of Paris, 125 pp. containing 40 plans and a double map of the surroundings of Paris, as well as 2 table and approval leaves. First edition, illustrated with 13 small vignettes or culs-de-lampe depicting views of Paris or genre scenes, 2 plans of Paris including a watercolored assembly map, a map of the environs of Paris and 40 plates, partially watercolored, representing limited fractions of the general plan. A precious copy in period morocco, in extremely rare condition.
