Violin made in Mirecourt 1900-1920 in the style of the Caussin family, bearing the apocryphal label of Carlo Bergonzi. 359 mm on the back. Accompanied by two bows, one mounted in Maillechort with silver button, stamped "Genève". condition: Good condition, bottom joint slightly restored. Note: Mirecourt, famous for its violin making for centuries, enjoyed its golden age in the 18th and 19th centuries. Renowned luthiers such as Nicolas Lupot, Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume and Charles Jean Baptiste Collin-Mezin left their mark here.
