TOILETRY SET

Moravia, Olomucany, Gebrüder Schütz, last third of the19th century Part of a toiletry set consisting of a washbasin, a water jug with a high handle and a wide spout, and a pair of containers: a longitudinal box for toothbrushes (missing lid) and a smaller bell-shaped box with a lid. Soft stoneware, relief decoration in historicizing style with dolphins, mascarons, and grotesque ornamentation, color glazed in brown tones and turquoise. Publ.: A. Impressed mark "MADE IN AUSTRIA" in an oval, letter G an archer (goods for foreign countries) and model no. "470" (jug), "SCHÜTZ BLANSKO" and model no. "470" (basin), boxes with engraved model no."470". Condition B. Minor signs of wear, minor scratches, otherwise in very good condition.
