Ouldémé people, northeastern Cameroon, first half of the 20th century. Beautiful "Kwerende" harp with five steel strings fixed to the exposed bridge-cordial and attached to pegs. These pegs are attached obliquely to the long, flat neck. The resonance box is entirely covered with sewn goatskin. This skin is pierced by three circular holes, the two lower ones serving as soundholes, the one near the neck accommodating a mirliton made from a spider cocoon membrane. Wood, goatskin, steel. Superb patina. With base L : 92 cm
