Three bowls with their porcelain plates of Batavia type Indian Company with blue and white decoration, from the Nankin Freighter, Qing Dynasty Qianlong period (1736-96). Decorated with peonies on the larger ones and with landscapes on the smaller one, which are the two models that the ship carried. The two larger ones retain the label of Christie's "The Nankin Cargo" auction in Amsterdam. The Dutch East India Company ship Geldermalsen was loaded at Nanking with luxury goods coming from Jindezheng, bound for the Netherlands but struck a reef in 1752 and sank in the South China Sea. The cargo was recovered by Captain Michael Hatcher and his crew in 1985 and sold by Christie's Amsterdam from April 28 to May 2, 1985. as 'The Nanking Cargo'. Chinese export of porcelain and gold' two hundred and thirty-five years later. Sizes: 4 x 7.5; 12; 4 x 6.5 and 10.5 cm.
