ANDRE VASSORT Exceptional necklace '70s with oval chrysoprase and gallonado design interspersed with coral 'angel skin', pieces of onyx and diamonds in 18K yellow gold setting. The necklace features nine pieces of exquisitely gadrooned chrysoprase joined together by pieces of coral, onyx and geometric brilliant-cut motifs of approx. 6.48 ct total. Jeweler's signature and French contrast. Jeweler André Vassort was a renowned French jeweler in one of the most creative eras of jewelry. André Vassort gained international fame and recognition for his exquisite creations made in the mid-20th century. He opened his own workshop in 1955 in the city of Paris, acquiring great prestige for his innovative and unique designs. He soon earned among his contemporaries the reputation of master jeweler, not only produced his own designs, but also made important pieces of jewelry for Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, carrying as a mark of identity his own signature on these brands. Some of his most outstanding pieces are in museums and private collections.
