MAISON LUNEL. France, ca. 1950. Three-light wall lamp in brass, rosewood and opaline. Measurements: 85 x 49 cm. Maison Lunel is a French firm dedicated to lighting, becoming a reference in the genre in the twentieth century. Its creations, appreciated by collectors and designers, are easily recognizable for their timeless elegance. Founded by Raymond Lunel in the fifties, was born as a small electrical store in Paris, but would make the leap with the opening of the factory "Royal Luminaire" in Montreuil. His designs were quickly accepted by the market, and designers such as Renée Mathieu and Pierre Guariche shared his passion. Today the firm is run by his granddaughter Agathe Lunel, who continues to make elegant mid-century designs the leitmotiv of the firm.
