Description

Ushebti in everyday dress. Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, 1292-1185 BC. Faience. Restored by covering a broken line at the wrists. There is wear to the black paint on the face, wig and skirt, otherwise in good condition. Provenance: Private collection M.R., England, acquired in 1975 / J. Bagot Archaeological Gallery, Barcelona, 2015; Exhibited: Ifergan Collection, Malaga (2018-2020). With export permit for the year 2023. Measurements: 16 cm. This ushebti figure is depicted as a man in everyday dress. On his head and in black, he wears a double wig, smooth on the back and front, but wavy on the two locks that rest on his shoulders.
