Spanish School of the 18th century. "Saint Joseph and Child". Carved and polychrome wood. Presents Repainting and faults. Measurements: 84 x 31 x 28 cm. Wood carving of baroque period and naturalistic invoice in the reproduction of the faces and drapery. Saint Joseph and the Child responds to an iconographic pattern that began to be popularized with the Counter-Reformation, when Joseph is vindicated as a primordial figure in his paternal role, although he will continue to be subordinate to the Virgin. It presents repainting and faults.
