Andrew Johnson (3) Impeachment Trial Ephemera Three items related to Andrew Johnson and his historic 1868 impeachment trial: Original green 4.75 x 3 full ticket to the U.S. Senate impeachment trial of President Andrew Johnson on April 9, 1868, complete with its unnumbered stub, marked "To be taken up at Main Entrance." The ticket is affixed to a slightly larger cardstock mount. The impeachment proceedings lasted from March 13 to May 26th, and President Johnson was ultimately acquitted by a single vote. Rare 4 x 2.25 carte-de-visite photo of the seven impeachment managers for the impeachment trial of Andrew Johnson (Benjamin F. Butler, Thaddeus Stevens, Thomas Williams, John A. Bingham, James F. Wilson, George S. Boutwell, and John A. Logan), published by Brady’s National Photographic Portrait Galleries. Reverse bears period collector’s notations. A 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait photo of Andrew Johnson in a bust-length pose. In overall fine condition.

Le Febvre, 1732-1734. 3 vol. in-12 brown calf, ornate ribbed spines, title and tom. (period binding). The Unigenitus bull or Unigenitus Dei Filius is the bull granted by Pope Clement XI to Louis XIV in September 1713 to denounce the Jansenist movement, in particular the oratorian Pasquier Quesnel. Joseph François Bourgoin de Villefore (1652-1737) was a Jansenist writer whose work was suppressed by the Council on January 26, 1734 (Barbier I, 186).

One under Jean RIBAUT, in 1562; the second under René de LAUDONNIERE, in 1564; the third under Dominique de GOURGUES, in 1567. Intaglio illustrations by Théodore de BRY, based on drawings by Jacques le MOYNE, who saw everything for himself. Reproduction of Th.
